The issue of establishing a "smart city" in Armenia was discussed Friday, December 16 by Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan and a delegation from the Beijing Global Safety Technology Co (GSafety) and China's Tsinghua University.
At the meeting in Yerevan, the parties discussed the prospects of cooperation on the introduction of safety systems in the transport sector.
Also, they dwelled upon the possibilities of establishing the smart city in one of the Armenian towns.
The members of the Chinese delegation expressed readiness to collaborate in the installation of public transport management and safety-related systems in Armenia.
