Aronian's draw in Tata Steel R11 puts him 3rd with Carlsen, Eljanov

Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian drew against Poland's Radoslaw Wojtaszek in round 11 of Tata Steel Wijk aan Zee, currently underway in The Netherlands.

China’s champion Wei Yi played sparkling attacks, beat Russian grandmaster Sergey Karjakin to advance to clear second place half a point behind Wesley So of the United States.

Leaders with two rounds still to go are So (7.5 points), Wei Yi (7), Magnus Carlsen (Norway), Aronian and Pavel Eljanov (Ukraine) all 7.

Aronian won the 2007, 2008, 2012 and 2014 editions of the Tata Steel Chess tournament.

Very strong chess players compete in the prestigious tournament, but regular club players are welcome to play as well. The top "A" section pits 14 of the world's best against each other in a round-robin tournament.
