Yervand Malunts, the head of the Nerkin Khndzoresk community in Armenia's Syunik province, has denied rumors that a group of Azeri troops have entered the village.
Earlier, some social media users and media outlets began to spread information that Nerkin Khndzoresk was allegedly captured by Azerbaijanis.
The head of the community said in a Facebook post that the information is not true.
"I officially declare that the Azerbaijani troops have not entered Nerkin Khndzoresk. Do not spread disinformation or create artificial panic. Everything is fine in the community, not a single Azerbaijani has been here," Maunts wrote.
After the completion of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh, many villages in Armenia became border settlements. A process of demarcation is currently underway.
