Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President Arayik Harutyunyan, Director of Armenia’s National Security Service Armen Abazyan, Commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent Rustam Muradov met Azerbaijan’s official representative on Friday, February 12, Harutyunyan's spokesperson Lusine Avanesyan reveals.

According to the spokesperson, the return of the prisoners of war, the search for the missing and other humanitarian questions were discussed.

"Issues related to the fate of those who went missing during the war in the 1990s were also on the table," Avanesyan added.

The Russian peacekeeping contingent was deployed to Karabakh immediately after the cessation of hostilities on November 10. Despite agreeing to an "all for all" formula, Azerbaijan still keeps dozens of Armenian prisoners of war and is planning to prosecute them.
