A total of 24456 residents of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) displaced during the 44-day war in fall 2020 currently reside in Armenia, authorities report.

According to information provided by the headquarters of the Artsakh Government in Armenia, 2720 families (10329 people) are from Kashatagh, 2388 families (8579 persons) from Hadrut, 540 families (2772 people) from Shahumyan, 410 families (1632 people) from Shushi, 96 families (424 people) from Martuni, 95 families (411 people) from Askeran, and 57 families (309 people) from Martakert.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev on November 9 signed a statement to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Under the deal, the Armenian side has returned all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
