8 Armenian prisoners of war returned from Azerbaijan on Monday, February 7, through the mediation of French President Emanuel Macron and European Council President Charles Michel.

The moves comes on the footsteps of a recent virtual meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azeri leader Ilham ALiyev, which was also arranged by Macron and Michel.

According to reports from Azerbaijan, servicemen captured during Azerbaijan's offensive against Armenia on November 16, 2021 are also among the recently repatriated.
