Yerevan has denied reports from Turkey claiming that the Armenia has transferred four Su-30 aircraft to Russia for use in hostilities against Ukraine.

Haber Global, an Azerbaijani TV station operating in Turkey, allegedly cited "unnamed sources in Turkey's intelligence service" as saying that Armenia has given the jets to Russia, the Armenian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Monday, March 28.

"The information is absolutely false. All the planes in the arsenal of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, together with the crew, are in place, fulfilling their tasks," the statement says.

"Another statement made in said material, according to which Armenia is one of the main routes by which mercenaries from Syria are being transferred to Ukraine to fight alongside Russia, does not correspond to reality either."
