Georgia to benefit by opening of Armenia-Turkish border
Opening of the Armenian-Turkish border will undoubtedly affect Georgia's economy and bring forth some difficulties, a Georgian expert said.

"Nevertheless, these difficulties will be temporary. Opening of the border will bring peace and stability to Caucasus and will outweigh disadvantages for Georgia," Paata Zakareishvili, head of center of development and cooperation, told PanARMENIAN.Net.

"Opening of the border will offer opportunities to expand economic cooperation between the countries of the region," he said.

Meanwhile, chairman of Georgian chamber of commerce Jemal Inanishvili said that opening of the Armenian-Turkish border and restoration of direct trade between the two countries will cause damage to Georgia's economy.
