Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said that the number one beneficiary of the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is Artsakh and its people, which means nothing can be negotiated implemented in secret.
"I sometimes think that there is no need to emphasize this, because it is such a logical fact," Pashinyan told Nagorno-Karabakh President Arayik Harutyunyan on Friday, Aprl 29.
"I appreciate your recent statement that the Artsakh authorities are, in fact, adopting the peace agenda too. And I want to say that the agenda of peace is not the agenda of defeat at all."
According to the Prime Minister, the agenda of peace is aimed at overcoming the difficulties that followed the war, to guarantee the security, the rights and the future of the people.
The Second Karabakh war lasted 44 days and ended when Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev signed a ceasefire statement on November 9, 2020. Under the deal, the Armenian side returned all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.
