The Secretary of Armenia's Security Council Armen Grigoryan visited Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) on September 2 as Karabakh is marking the 31st anniversary of independence.

"On September 2, I visited the memorial-pantheon of Stepanakert and laid flowers at the pedestal of the monument commemorating the heroes who died during wars in Artsakh," Grigoryan said on Facebook.

After the dissolution of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic declared independence like other members of the USSR, and is celebrating the 31st anniversary on September 2.
