APPOINTMENT OF BRITISH REPRESENTATIVE AS PACE RAPPORTEUR ON NAGORNO KARABAKH CONSIDERED NORMAL IN YEREVAN
The appointment of British representative in the political committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Tarry Davids as PACE rapporteur on Nagorno Karabakh was perceived as normal in Yerevan. As Armenian foreign ministry press secretary Dzyunik Aghajanian told "De-Facto" agency, Tarry Davids has much experience in working in the CE. In the press secretary's words, the date of the British diplomat's visit to the Karabakh conflict region is not known yet. At present the Armenian foreign ministry waits for giving the mandate to Tarry Davids. Let us note that the Azeri delegation speaks well of the new rapporteur, calling him a man of authority and an objective person able of "preparing an unbiased report on the basis of comprehensive familiarization with the Karabakh problem." It is noteworthy that the Armenian and Azeri delegations had not been able to reach a consensus on the candidate of the rapporteur for nine months.
