French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna announced on Tuesday, October 11 that the EU will send a two-month civilian mission to the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.
"We would like this mission to contribute to the border demarcation process, which will resume in the next few days,” Colonna said in the French parliament, answering a question posed by MP Félicie Gérard, Hetq.am reports.
“At the same time, we are working on creating an OSCE fact-finding mission to provide an objective assessment of the post-conflict situation and particularly humanitarian needs.”
The agreement to deploy an EU mission was reached at a meeting between the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, France and the European Union in Prague on Thursday, October 6.
