Austrian writer put on trial for denying Holocaust
Gerd Honsik, an Austrian writer known for his right-wing extremist views, was put on trial for engaging in pro-Nazi propaganda and denying the Holocaust.

The lawsuit against him began on April 20, exactly 120 years after Adolf Hitler's birth. "It's not simply sad, it is dangerous that so many years after Hitler's death there are still people denying his brutal conduct," the Prosecutor stated in his speech.

If found guilty, Honsik will serve 20 years in prison. In 1992, he was convicted, but he fled to Spain where he spent 15 years and was arrested in October 2007, EuroNews reports.
