The United States welcomes the progress Armenia and Azerbaijan have made in talks in Washington and encourage continued dialogue, White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said in a tweet on Wednesday, May 3.
“A sustainable and just agreement will be key to unlocking opportunities for both countries and the region,” he added.
Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers Ararat Mirzoyan Jeyhun Bayramov are currently in Washington for a series of talks on the normalization of relations between the two countries, as well as the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
