The delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border should be carried out on Baku's terms, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said on May 28 in Lachin, Interfax.az reports.
“The delimitation of the borders (with Armenia – ed.) should be on our terms, that is, on fair terms. The peace agreement should be based on international rules, the road (railroad - Ed.) to Nakhijevan should be opened. All representatives of the Armed Forces of Armenia must be withdrawn from Karabakh. These are our conditions,” Aliyev said.
According to him, events that have taken place in the region over the past two and a half years (after the end of the Karabakh war in 2020) should “awaken the Karabakh Armenians from their dreams.”
"A peace agreement should be signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia based on the principle of territorial integrity," Aliyev added.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a press conference that Armenia is ready to demarcate the entire Armenian-Azerbaijani border according to the maps of the USSR General Staff from 1975.
