Gyumri Youth commemorated innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide
On the evening of Apr. 24 a torchlight procession was organized, starting at St. Jakob Church. According to Gharib Haroutyunyan, one of procession participants, the march aimed to once again prove Gyumri's unwavering intent to struggle for international recognition of the Armenian Genocide.

"We're satisfied with procession results and weren't surprised to be joined by Gyumri people, the number of procession participants growing to 1500," Gyumri Student Council Organization Executive Director Vladimir Shatverov told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

The procession was completed at St. Virgin Mary Church, where march participants lit candles in memory of Genocide victims.
