Moscow has conveyed another invitation to Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to visit Russia to discuss the peace treaty between Yerevan and Baku, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told a briefing on Friday, January 26, TASS reports.

“An invitation to Ararat Samvelovich Mirzoyan for consultations in Moscow on the issues of the peace treaty was sent repeatedly, starting from September last year; among other things, this was discussed during bilateral contacts at various levels,” Zakharova said.

“The last signal to Yerevan was sent literally a few days ago.”

Armenia and Azerbaijan are negotiating a peace treaty. One of the serious obstacles is the demarcation of the common section of the border.
