Yerevan and Moscow have agreed to repair a flood-stricken railway in northern Armenia, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told a government on Thursday, May 30.

"It looks like we have reached an agreement with Russian partners on rebuilding the railway," Pashinyan said.

He said the focus should be on building bridges, also destroyed in floods that killed at least four people and forced the evacuation of hundreds of people.

In turn, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said that negotiations with foreign partners on their involvement in the reconstructions are underway.

The flood in the country's Lori and Tavush provinces also destroyed many roads, at least 14 bridges and other infrastructure elements.
