The government of Lithuania will send EUR 100 000 as humanitarian aid to Armenia to mitigate consequences of devastating floods, Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė said in a post on X on Wednesday, June 5

“In times of challenge, you are not alone,” Šimonytė said.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. “Thank you Ingrida Šimonytė for your unwavering support during these challenging times. Lithuania's solidarity is truly appreciated,” Pashinyan said.

“Together, we will overcome these difficulties and rebuild stronger than ever.”

On May 26-27, heavy rains caused floods in Armenia, with the Debed and Aghstev rivers bursting their banks and killing three people. As many as 14 bridges have collapsed, several transportation links have been closed, including trains between Yerevan and Tbilisi as well as the main border crossing between Armenia and Georgia.
