Armenia Security Council chief to attend Ukraine peace summit

Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan will take part in the Ukraine peace summit in Switzerland, the press service of the Council reports.

Grigoryan will go on an official visit to Nidwalden, Switzerland, where the summit will take place. During the trip, the Secretary of the Security Council will also travel to Paris, where working meetings are planned.

A report from the Associated Press reveals that Swiss officials have sent out some 160 invitations, and say about 90 delegations, including a handful of international organizations like the U.N., will attend. Roughly half will be from Europe. Several dozen attendees will be heads of state or government, including French President Emmanuel Macron, Polish President Andrzej Duda, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris and White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan will take part.
