Armenian wrestlers Artur Aleksanyan and Malkhas Amoyan have reached the semi-finals of the Olympics, the press service of the Wrestling Federation reports.
Amoyan (77 kg weight category) and Aleksanyan (97 kg) defeated their opponents with a score of 3:0 and 9:5, respectively, in the quarterfinals.
The Public Television, though, was unable to broadcast their bouts as it only receives signal from the main wrestling mat. The TV company added, however, that Amoyan and Aleksanyan’s penultimate and ultimate fights will be broadcast live. Both wrestlers are celebrated athletes, having won numerous medals, including an Olympic gold one by Aleksanyan.
