A Juventus Football Academy hat is set to be established at Yerevan’s Hrazdam Stadium, according to a government decision approved on Thursday, August 29.
The academy does not belong to the Juventus club and is being opened as a franchise: the Armenian company Next Gen Sports will use the club's brand on the condition that its standards are met for training junior footballers.
The academy will be provided with a field, a swimming pool and several other auxiliary facilities belonging to the Children's and Youth Olympic Athletics School and the Football Federation of Armenia.
In return, Next Gen Sports which is opening the academy will build a modern training complex, invite European coaches, and maintain contact with football agents who will monitor the performance of Armenian juniors and work on their transition to European clubs.
The training complex will be equipped with GPS systems and other technologies to analyze players' actions and develop game strategy. The company expects to receive income from contracts between its students and European clubs.
