Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has blamed what he described as “Armenia's territorial claims against Azerbaijan” for the delay in finalizing the peace agreement.
Aliyev made the remarks at a meeting with Michael Carpenter, Special Assistant to the U.S. President and Senior Director for Europe at the National Security Council.
Aliyev said Armenia has been delaying its proposals on the text of the peace agreement for 70 days, Azerbaijani media report.
“Aliyev claimed that Armenia's territorial claims against Azerbaijan remain a key obstacle to finalizing the peace agreement,” the report on APA said.
