Armenia’s Aleksandra Grigoryan won gold at the European Junior and U23 Weightlifting Championships currently underway in Poland.

Grigoryan, who is the reigning European champion, lifted a total of 200 kg (85 kg + 115 kg) above her head in the 55kg event. Zhora Grigoryan earlier secured Armenia first gold in the men’s 55kg weight category, with a result of 233 kg (103 kg + 130 kg).
