Polish President’s official trip to Armenia commences

Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan is Polish president Andrzej Duda in Yerevan on Tuesday, November 21.

Duda and First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda arrived on an official visit in Armenia one day earlier. Their plane landed at Zvartnots Airport, where they were welcomed by Armenia’s Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Armen Pambukhchyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paruyr Hovhannisyan and Armenia’s Ambassador to Poland Alexander Arzumanyan.

Throughout the 3-day trip, Duda will also have meetings with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan,

Duda’s delegation visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex on November 26.

Edita Gzoyan, Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute (AGMI), accompanied the guests to the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex, and briefed them in the history of the creation of the memorial complex.

The Polish President laid a wreath at the monument to the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims and honored the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide with a moment of silence.

Duda then planted a silver fir tree in the Memory Park.
