Russia has not received any requests from the Greek authorities to re-export Russian military products to other countries, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, told a briefing on Thursday, November 28, Tass reports.
Zakharova’s comments came after reports that Athens is preparing to transfer S-300 systems to Yerevan.
The Russian diplomat recalled the need to comply with the provisions of the bilateral intergovernmental agreements on military-technical cooperation from October 30, 1995 and on the supply of military products from December 3, 2013.
"They clearly prohibit Greece from re-exporting the military equipment we supplied without Russia's consent, but at the moment we have not received any requests from the Greek side," Zakharova said.
