Azerbaijan says Yerevan, Baku don’t need mediators in peace talks

Azerbaijani Presidential Aide Hikmet Hajiyev has declared that Azerbaijan and Armenia do not need mediators in peace talks, Minval. az reports.

"Baku and Yerevan are holding peace talks, and there is no need for a third party to participate. On the contrary, the intervention of a third party in the region's affairs harms the normalization of relations," Hajiyev told journalists on Thursday, December 12.

He also noted that there are certain issues between the two countries that remain open, but are being considered in a working manner.

Hajiyev also noted that there is no “factor of war” between the two countries any longer.
