Between January and December 25, 2024, a total of 2,670 Covid-19 cases were reported in Armenia, including 744 cases among individuals aged 0-18, according to the press service of Armenia's Ministry of Health, Panorama.am reports.
The Ministry of Health reported 14 Covid-19-related deaths in 2024, marking a 4.4-fold decrease compared to the same period in the previous year.
As in many other parts of the world, the Omicron variant continues to circulate in Armenia,” the Ministry said.
The symptoms of Covid-19 can vary from mild to severe. However, in most cases, the disease may be asymptomatic, and patients are often diagnosed by chance.
After receiving a positive test result, individuals should isolate themselves in accordance with international guidelines for managing Covid-19 patients. They may only return to the outside environment once their condition improves, at least 24 hours without a fever, the Ministry added.
