Armenia has been ranked 91st in a global firepower index published in early January.

The rankings were released in the 2025 Military Strength Ranking, compiled by Global Firepower (GFP), which assesses the "potential war-making capability" of 145 nations by assessment categories, including combat tank fleet strength, active military manpower, self-propelled artillery strength and multiple launch rocket projector strength.

Armenia’s 2025 ranking is 10 notches higher than last year.

Azerbaijan, meanwhile, ranks 60th, Georgia comes in 94th, Russia, Turkey and Iran are in 2nd, 8th and 16th, respectively.
