ARF: Azerbaijan and Turkey impose destructive concessions on Armenia

The Bureau of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) issued a statement emphasizing the growing security threats to Armenia and condemning Azerbaijan and Turkey’s pressure on Armenia to accept destructive concessions.

“In the context of current geopolitical developments, security threats surrounding Armenia are becoming increasingly immediate and dangerous. Azerbaijan, with Turkey’s unconditional support and enhanced military capabilities, is using the geopolitical instability to pressure Armenia into complying with destructive demands—either with the current administration’s agreement or through war,” the statement reads.

The ARF criticized Armenia’s leadership for allegedly using the threat of war to justify concessions to the Turkish-Azerbaijani tandem, describing it as a policy of capitulation and submission under the guise of pursuing peace.

The ARF argues that true, lasting peace can only be achieved through fair resolution of disputes and maintaining a balance of power. “Surrendering vital rights and interests will not bring peace but will lead to the loss of Armenian identity and statehood,” the statement warns.

To counter existential challenges, the ARF proposes:

-Mobilizing all Armenian resources to preserve national identity and statehood.

-Urgent reconstruction of Armenia’s defense and security systems to ensure broad public participation in national security.

-Adopting a foreign policy that restores diplomatic strength and builds strategic partnerships with countries and alliances aligned with Armenia’s geopolitical interests, including strengthening ties with Russia, forging a defense pact with Iran, and developing complementary relations with Western powers.

The ARF calls for the unification of national forces to remove the current government, neutralize threats to the Armenian people and statehood, and form a new, capable national government to build a strong Armenia.
