On January 21, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will hold talks with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who will visit Moscow on a working trip.
During the meeting, the foreign ministers are expected to engage in a comprehensive discussion of the full spectrum of Russian-Armenian relations, with particular emphasis on cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and other integration frameworks in the Eurasian space. Current international issues are also on the agenda., according to the RF MFA press service.
The primary focus will be on the situation in the South Caucasus. The parties will discuss measures aimed at achieving a balanced normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“We hope the upcoming meeting will be constructive, advance practical cooperation issues, and contribute to strengthening stability and security in the South Caucasus,” the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.
