RUSSIAN AND AZERI PRESIDENTS DISCUSSED PROSPECTS OF KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT
Azeri President's visit to Saint-Petersburg continues. In the course of the negotiations between Heydar Aliyev and Vladimir Putin held in "the northern capital" of Russia the prospects of the Karabakh conflict settlement were discussed together with other questions. The conversation between the heads of the two states lasted over two hours. At the end of the negotiations Aliyev stated that there should be no winners or losers in the Karabakh conflict settlement. Azerbaijan associates the solution of many problems in the Caucasus just with Russia, he also emphasized. The Presidents participated in the ceremony of opening the memorial to Persian poet and thinker Nizami, who was born in the territory, occupied at present by the Azerbaijani Republic.
