Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan announced during a briefing with government members that the process of vaccinating against chickenpox will commence in February.

She emphasized that the Ministry meticulously examines all vaccine documentation to ensure compliance with necessary technical requirements.

The introduction of the chickenpox vaccine will be implemented in phases, initially targeting one-year-old children and individuals of pre-conscription age. By 2027, the vaccination will be incorporated into the national immunization schedule, similar to the approach for measles and rubella.
