Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that joint border service is already being carried out at the Armenia-Turkey and Armenia-Iran borders.
He emphasized that the Iran-Armenia border checkpoint is now fully under the control of Armenian border guards, Aysor.am reports.
"The Armenian border troops have also started service in this section," he added.
Pashinyan also noted that at Zvartnots Airport, Armenian border guards are now fully in charge. He expressed gratitude to Russian border forces for their past support.
Regarding Armenian-Russian border cooperation, Pashinyan stressed that it depends on the political will of both countries.
"As long as there is a willingness to cooperate, we will continue. If circumstances change, adjustments will follow. At present, we are engaged in joint service, and I do not rule out its expansion," he said.
