Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace, where they discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including the economy, infrastructure, road construction, energy, education, and tourism.
According to the Armenian government, Macron welcomed Pashinyan’s visit and thanked him for accepting the invitation to attend the AI Action Summit. The French president emphasized the importance of strengthening Armenian-French relations and reaffirmed France’s support for Armenia’s development and stability.
Pashinyan expressed gratitude for the warm reception, highlighting that Armenian-French ties saw dynamic progress in 2024. He noted that frequent meetings between the two governments have helped elevate bilateral relations to a new level.
The discussions also touched upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process, ongoing border delimitation efforts, and the unblocking of regional communication routes within the framework of the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative. Pashinyan reaffirmed his government's commitment to the peace agenda. Other regional issues of mutual concern were also addressed.
The two leaders also exchanged views on Armenia-EU cooperation prospects and the continued strengthening of democracy in Armenia.
Following the meeting, Pashinyan attended an official dinner at the Élysée Palace, hosted by Macron in honor of the leaders and government representatives participating in the Summit on Artificial Intelligence Action.
During the event, Pashinyan engaged in informal discussions with other leaders.
