During a session of the National Assembly, Gegham Manukyan, an MP from the Armenia faction, raised concerns about an event at the Interior Ministry, where a displayed outline of Armenia excluded Artsvashen.
"I took still frames from the video. Dozens of law enforcement officials were present—was there not a single one to ask, ‘If you are showing Armenia’s outline, where is Artsvashen?’" Manukyan remarked.
He questioned the criteria used to draw this outline and why Artsvashen was omitted from the representation.
Artsvashen is a village in Armenia’s Gegharkunik province, part of the Chambarak community. As an exclave, it is located within Azerbaijan’s territory and has been under Azerbaijani military occupation since August 8, 1992.
