The Armenian women’s national team has kicked off its campaign in the UEFA Women’s Nations League. The team is in Group C3, competing against Liechtenstein, Kazakhstan, and Luxembourg, reports Radar.am .
In its first match, Armenia played at home against Liechtenstein and celebrated the largest win in its history with a 6-1 scoreline.
The first goal came in the 7th minute, when Maraal Artin opened the scoring. Oksana Pizlova doubled Armenia’s lead in the 13th minute. Just before halftime, Lara Kazanjian found the net, sending Armenia into the break with a 3-0 lead.
In the second half, Anna Dallakyan converted a penalty in the 51st minute to extend the lead. Shortly after, Katharina Risch scored Liechtenstein’s only goal, reducing the gap. However, Lara Kazanjian responded immediately in the 53rd minute, restoring Armenia’s three-goal advantage. She then struck again in the 71st minute, completing her hat-trick.
This historic victory marks the biggest win in the history of the Armenian women’s national team.
