In the final round of the UEFA Futsal Euro 2026 main qualification stage, Armenia’s national team defeated Kazakhstan in Yerevan.
With this victory, Armenia secured first place in the group with 16 points and earned its first-ever qualification for the UEFA Futsal Euro final stage, as reported by Armenpress.
The match, held at the Avan Football Academy sports hall, began with Armenia dominating the game, while Kazakhstan focused on defense. Armenia opened the scoring with a precise strike from Nikita Khromykh.
After conceding the first goal, Kazakhstan intensified its attacks. However, in the 13th minute, Armenia capitalized on a counterattack, and Khromykh netted his second goal. Before halftime, Kazakhstan reduced the deficit with a goal from Tursagulov.
At the start of the second half, in the 23rd minute, Khromykh completed his hat-trick, securing Armenia’s third goal. Later, Armenian goalkeeper Albert Aghajanyan noticed the opposing keeper out of position and scored with a long-range shot, further extending Armenia’s lead.
However, in the 32nd minute, Aghajanyan scored an own goal, bringing the final score to 4-2.
