Peace treaty addresses constitutional territorial issues, Pashinyan says

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the agreed text of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan addresses concerns regarding potential territorial claims in both countries' constitutions. He said that Armenia's Constitution does not contain territorial claims against any country. Pashinyan noted that while Armenia perceives Azerbaijan's Constitution as containing territorial claims against Armenia, the new reality is the existence of an agreed draft peace treaty that addresses and resolves these concerns.

He also said that there are no unilateral provisions in the draft peace agreement; all clauses apply equally to both parties, imposing no obligations solely on Armenia or Azerbaijan.

*The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced acceptance of Azerbaijan's proposals on two previously unresolved articles, indicating that the peace agreement is ready for signing. Armenia is prepared to begin consultations on the timing and location of the signing.*
