Armenia to implement U.S. strategic document soon, FM says

Armenia is actively engaging with the new U.S. administration, including President Donald Trump and his team. This was stated by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during the National Assembly's foreign relations session, where he presented the progress and outcomes of the government's 2024 program.

Mirzoyan recalled that the strategic partnership document signed earlier this year marked a significant milestone in bilateral relations. Addressing concerns that the new partnership might not continue under the new U.S. administration, he assured that these worries are unfounded, as representatives of the new administration were involved in the process during the transition phase.

"And now you can note that our active work with the new U.S. administration, President Trump, and his team continues. In the near future, there will be certain updates, particularly regarding the implementation of provisions outlined in the same strategic cooperation document," Mirzoyan noted.

On January 14, in Washington, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken signed a strategic partnership document, strengthening cooperation between the two countries. During the signing ceremony, Blinken mentioned that in the coming weeks, a team from the U.S. would visit Armenia to work with local partners on enhancing border security capabilities.
