Armenia’s Defense Ministry denied Azerbaijan’s disinformation three times on March 16, refuting claims of ceasefire violations.
In an official statement, Armenia’s Defense Ministry rejected Azerbaijan’s claims that Armenian forces opened fire on Azerbaijani positions in the southeastern border region between 20:10 and 20:45 on March 16, stating that the report "does not correspond to reality."
Similar Azerbaijani allegations were also denied earlier at 13:45 and around 20:45.
The ministry reiterated that the Armenian Prime Minister’s Office had proposed the creation of a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism to investigate ceasefire violations. However, Azerbaijan has yet to respond to this initiative.
