Protest scheduled for March 20 to demand Armenian POWs release

A protest is scheduled for March 20, during which demonstrators will demand that the government take steps to secure the release of Armenian prisoners in Baku. This was announced on Facebook by Mane Tandilyan, co-founder of the Country to Live party.

She stated that the fight for their compatriots held in Baku is ongoing.

The rally will take place at 11:00 AM in front of the government building.

"We will remind the government once again of its responsibilities. The Armenian people are responsible for their compatriots," she wrote.

Meanwhile, U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz said he told Hikmet Hajiyev, Azerbaijan’s presidential security advisor, that Baku should release the prisoners and finalize the peace treaty with Armenia.

Additionally, Jared Genser, lawyer for Ruben Vardanyan, urged Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan to carefully consider statements made by U.S. President Donald Trump and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz regarding the situation.
