Deputy FM: Baku's preconditions hinder peace process

Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister, Paruyr Hovhannisyan, stated that despite progress, Azerbaijan continues to present challenges and provocations, sometimes resulting in setbacks.

Hovhannisyan noted that 58 countries and 10 international organizations have welcomed the peace process, acknowledging Armenia's significant role. He emphasized Armenia's readiness to discuss all procedures related to the signing of the agreement, though no response has been received yet.

Addressing concerns about Azerbaijan's increasingly aggressive statements and actions, the Deputy Minister remarked that this is not a new approach. He highlighted the importance of international observers in countering false claims, stating that the international community recognizes that false statements do not contribute to any positive process.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the peace agreement text is finalized and ready for signing. Armenia has expressed its willingness to begin consultations with Azerbaijan regarding the timing and location for signing the agreement.
