At 11:43 p.m. local time (7:43 p.m. GMT) on March 26, the Seismological Network of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Territorial Seismic Protection Service recorded a 2.3-magnitude earthquake near the Armenia–Georgia border, 6 kilometers northeast of the village of Bavra, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The tremor’s intensity in the epicentral area reached magnitude 3. The quake was felt in several settlements of Shirak Province, including the villages of Bavra, Saragyugh, Tavshut, and Ghazanchi, with an intensity of 2 to 3.
The underground shocks were recorded at 41.15° N latitude and 43.87° E longitude.
