Serzh Sargsyan's office declines debate with PM

In response to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's recent remarks in the National Assembly, targeting former presidents for not accepting his debate invitation, the office of Armenia's third President, Serzh Sargsyan, issued a statement.

"It is not customary to negotiate with those who have fallen below the standard, let alone debate with them," it says.

The statement further elaborated that among all the assessments of his disastrous activities, his mental state, which has reached the level of a national security threat, deteriorates the most from the characterization of 'capitulator.'

“The individual, who has now capitulated in negotiations with Azerbaijan, yesterday also miserably capitulated in an unequal struggle with reason and morality. His mentally unbalanced state is a mirror reflection of the military-political imbalance established between Armenia and Azerbaijan due to his own fault, which the capitulator cannot hide because of the fears remaining under the weight of the low bar imposed by Aliyev,: the statement says.

"Instead of grandstanding, he can do only one thing: overcome his fears and publish all the documents of the negotiation process up to September 27, 2020."
