A major international festival titled “100 + 10 – Armenian Allegories” is being prepared in Berlin, according to the National Gallery of Armenia.

From April 24 to May 31, the festival will feature the exhibition “Unfinished Future,” which will showcase rare works by Arshak Fetvajian. These will be presented alongside over eighty pieces by nearly forty artists from Amsterdam, Istanbul, and Gothenburg.

“Our souls are at war,” reads one of the exhibition pieces. The participating artists reflect on themes such as genocide, forced displacement, and the consequences of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Through their work, they attempt to disrupt the cycles of loss and crisis while acknowledging the complex and uncertain process of shaping the future.

The exhibition integrates photography, painting, video art, and installations, illustrating how art can document and transform events without repeating narratives of victimhood, instead emphasizing interconnectedness and elements of hope.
