No EU or observer response to Azerbaijani fire, Marukyan says

Edmon Marukyan, leader of the Bright Armenia party, has addressed the recent shootings by Azerbaijani armed forces in the direction of Khnatsakh village in Armenia’s Syunik Province, as well as the continued violations of the ceasefire in recent days. He stated that "the EU is silent, and so are the observers."

He also noted that "there’s not even a hint of sanctions against Ilham Aliyev."

“At around 12:50 a.m., Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire toward the village of Khnatsakh in Syunik Province, damaging a residential home. No casualties were reported.

The EU observation mission has been sending reports to Brussels for over a week now regarding gunfire directed by Azerbaijani forces at Armenian sovereign territory. This information was also presented to the U.S. Ambassador during their visit to Goris.

The EU remains silent, and the observers have also refrained from making official statements. There is not even the slightest mention of possible sanctions against Aliyev. No reaction at all,” he wrote.

Since March 16, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense has been spreading disinformation multiple times a day, falsely claiming that shots were fired from the Armenian side. Armenia’s Ministry of Defense has consistently denied these statements. The EU monitoring mission has also refuted Baku’s disinformation.
