Montenegro deputy PM visits Armenia to deepen bilateral relations

Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro for Foreign and European Affairs, Filip Ivanović, met with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan in Yerevan.

President Khachaturyan emphasized the importance of such high-level visits and meetings, viewing them as essential tools for shaping the political agenda and strengthening bilateral ties.

Ivanović stated, “It is a great honor for us to visit Yerevan and meet with you. Undoubtedly, as you mentioned, the main purpose of my visit is to promote relations between Armenia and Montenegro, which are based on longstanding friendship. We are happy to take steps in this direction.”

President Khachaturyan highlighted the need to intensify joint efforts aimed at leveraging the existing potential in mutually interesting areas to ensure effective cooperation.

“I am confident that during your visit, you have outlined the main directions and opportunities that will contribute to further developing relations between our two countries,” said Khachaturyan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation and explored areas where their mutual interests could support deeper and broader collaboration.

Particular attention was paid to implementing educational and scientific initiatives, as well as developing cooperation in the cultural sphere. Both sides agreed on the importance of taking concrete steps to fully realize these opportunities.

Key topics also included the creation of new connections and the strengthening of existing relations, particularly in political, economic, tourism, and business sectors. President Khachaturyan stressed that joint efforts in these fields will advance both nations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, representatives from both countries reaffirmed their commitment to the continued development of democratic values and institutions, considering them essential for future prosperity and strengthening their roles within the international community.

The sides agreed to maintain high-level dialogue and broaden cooperation in all mutually beneficial areas.
