The number of illegal crossings at Armenia’s state border saw a significant rise in 2024, with nearly double the incidents compared to 2023.
According to the annual report of the Prosecutor General’s Office, there were 160 cases of illegal border crossings in 2024, compared to 78 cases reported in 2023.
This marks an increase of 82 cases, equivalent to a 105.1% rise in violations.
In addition, there were 15 cases of organizing illegal migration in 2024, compared to 24 such incidents in 2023—showing a decrease of 9 cases.
