Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan met with Magdalena Grono, the European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, for talks on regional developments.
The meeting focused on the ongoing border delimitation process and explored existing opportunities for unblocking all regional transportation and economic connections.
The head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, was also present at the meeting.
On January 16, Armenia’s Foreign Ministry announced that an agreement had been reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan on a new section of border delimitation. The agreement envisions beginning work in the northern sector, from the tri-border point of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, and continuing southward to the section of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border that meets Iran.
